I want to write. I want to share. I wasn't using this blog. What do I endlessly babble about most? My troubled relationship with my new homeland of course! So, I will now attempt to document my struggle to feel "at home" in Southern Ontario.
Most of the issues I face are, of course, my own; my own inability to consistently motivate myself to get outside; my own tendency to dwell on the negative; and most importantly, my own tendency to romanticize the past. The weather was clearly superior in Manitoba, unspoiled nature was always at my fingertips and I could enjoy the consistent presence of my family. I hope to investigate each of these "truths" and others over the next year and hopefully come to some peace with my surrounds.
